Would like your opinion on a citizen diver could I email you some photos?
Hi Dan, happy to have a look, email on the way shortly 🙂
Stephen
My Father just passed and I wanted to wear his favorite watch but I wanted to know a little bit more about it’s history. The face says “Citizen Quartz” with a jewel above and the “CQ” overlapped logo below, and in tiny print at the bottom it says “Japan Mov’t-6031-K10406-KY”. On the back of the watch it says;
Citizen watch co.
Base metal yp
6031-k02716 ck
820218
Mov’t Japan
->12
The band says ” duchess made in the USA” and “1/40 10k r.g.p. top” “stainless steel bot”
Any help identifying it would be very appreciated, please email me
Thank you so much
Journey Kerchner
Hi Journey, thanks for visiting my blog – I’ll do a fuller reply later, but in the meantime I’ve edited out your email address since this is a public blog and you might end up getting some unwanted stuff. I get to see visitors’ email addresses when they post a comment so I will still be able to get back to you that way,
Stephen
Hi Journey, email just sent,
Stephen
HI I have a citizen 17 jewels that works,stainless steel water restant with serial no 63-6134 can you give me some inf about this watch and if you know sm who is interested in buying it or a website to sell it.Thank you!
Hi Vladimir, thanks for visiting my blog. From the model number I would think that your watch has the 02 ‘Homer’ movement, or the 18 ‘Homer’ movement if it has a date window and is probably from the mid to late 1970s or very early 1980s. I would think eBay would be the place to sell it.
Stephen
how much can i ask for a watch 40 years old?
I avoid advising on value here I’m afraid, since there are may things which can affect it. If you search eBay for similar watches, in similar condition, then you should be able to get an idea.
