With the kind permission of their owners, Brian has provided two more Speedy examples for his Restoration Page. These are now included as numbers 7 & 8 🙂
Thanks again to Brian, and to the proud owners of the Speedy’s he has serviced and restored.
I don’t think we can get enough of these classics!
Very nice looking examples. Nice replacement bands, too. These watches look so good with a decent quality leather strap! Thanks for posting, Stephen!
Hi Marvin – I must admit I prefer leather straps to steel bracelets, so although I have an original bracelet (came with the white model here) I have substituted it with the sports leather strap. That also has the benefit of minimising wear on the bracelet, which is a hard to find thing these days.

Superb!
Hi Mike – thank you for your kind comment 🙂

[image1.JPG] Hi Stephen, I’m looking to fix this beauty but I’m hesitant to take it just to any place. Any recommendations. I live in Toronto, Canada but I’ m open to sending it outside the country if it’ll be in good hands. I tried Citizen Canada but sadly they don’t touch any watches they no longer produce parts for.
Sam
Hi Sam, thanks for visiting my blog. I’m afraid visitors aren’t able to post images directly which is why it’s not showing up. If you can upload it somewhere like PhotoBucket you can post a link, or I can email you and you could send the pic to me – let me know if you want to do that. Since you commented on the ‘More Speedy’s’ post do you have one of these? If so, or if you have a different 8110 chronograph, or indeed any other vintage Citizen, I can strongly recommend Brian, aka ’31Jewels’ whose work is featured on this blog. He is in the eastern USA. Let me know if you want me to send his contact details.

Hi everyone, I am new vintage Citizen collector.
I own a Speedy with number 67-9038. I am a bit worried that this one is Speedy production line?
Most of Speedy Chronos I’ve seen are with 67-9313.
All the answers from experts are welcome.
Perleeglory
Hi Perleeglory 🙂 Thanks for visiting my blog. Congrats on owning a Speedy, but I’m afraid the back is not correct. The only Speedy model number is 67-9313, whilst the 67-9038 is another side button chronograph but with different dial designs and case shape – see this example:
Does the rest of your Speedy seem correct?:

Hello Stephen,
Great blog — very informative and a good read, too.
I own a Citizen Speedy and I’m interested in contacting Brian about restoration/repair. Is there anyway you could put me in contact with him?
Hi Mark – thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind comments. Email on the way with Brian’s contact details.
