Today’s Watch – Citizen Seven Star V2, 23 Jewels

Posting a bit later today, so only a short note – this is an interesting V2 Seven Star from April 1970. The hacking 7280 movement has the day and date in a single window at the 12 o’clock position. And the nice thing about that is it changes instantly at 12 midnight – no slow change over several hours:

Hi Stephen — another nice example. I love the blue-gray dial. You have posted some other very nice watches the past couple of weeks. Thanks for taking the time to do it!
The only downside is I can’t find anything comparable for a reasonable price. They just don’t seem to be available anymore. 🙂

    Hi Stephen,
Obviously I’m not looking in the right places. I periodically look on ebay, and much of what I see is redialed or otherwise not worth buying. I’d welcome suggestions by email for other sites or auctions worth shopping. Thank you.

This is the watch that started me on my vintage Citizen kick! Not a fan of blue dials usually, but this one I really love and the case wears really well.
