   Hi there

   I just bought a pristine citizen, turns out it is this exact watch! I am really thrilled, it is so hard to believe the age given the condition. It has hardly been worn since this forum post.

   And to think I was actually just looking for a lcd chrystron like my dad had. The brace seems similar to his though and I am happy I found this. It runs nice.

   But other than the serial numbers, type of movement and the forum entries it’s hard to find anything on this watch.
   What is it called? Are there catalogues where it is featured?

         Hi there, thanks for your replies. Yes, the exact watch referred to in the Dutch forum, not just the type. Searching the numbers lead me there (and here). It was sold there later on and I bought it on the Dutch equivalent of craigslist. I inquired how the seller got it and he referred to the Dutch forum as well. I searched citizen catalogues, but didn’t encounter it in the 74/77/79 editions I managed to find easily.

           Hi Erwin, thanks for confirming that info. This is an early example of a watch with the 8200 automatic movement, which was launched around 1976. And this one doesn’t have a model name – it is listed in a casing parts catalogue from 1977 (no pics in it though). The 8200 is best known for the Eagle 7 line which was launched in the early 1980s. The catalogues don’t have many 8200’s listed since by the time they were being produced Citizen was prioritising their quartz watches.
